Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's, and Sprouts Farmers Market have announced plans for new locations in the Philadelphia market. Whole Foods has two Daily Shop sites planned in Philadelphia, including a 13,860-square-foot site in Fitler Square and a 9,400-square-foot site in a 40-unit Fishtown apartment building, plus a traditional store in Upper Providence Township. Trader Joe's plans a South Philadelphia location, while Sprouts plans stores in Havertown and Sewell, N.J. The expansion follows closures of six Amazon Fresh locations, six Grocery Outlet stores, and three of Di Bruno Bros.'s five locations in the greater Philadelphia market.
