The Store Walk tool is built around a simple idea:
A manager should deliberately see the store every day.
Not just pass through it.
A good walk can surface issues before they become bigger problems:
- an out-of-stock on an important item,
- a dirty or damaged area,
- a display that is not working,
- a pricing problem,
- product sitting in the backroom,
- a department falling behind,
- an employee who needs support,
- a food-safety concern,
- or something a customer would notice immediately.
The tool is intended to support judgment, not replace it.
We are especially interested in the things experienced operators look for that a checklist can easily miss.
What has a store walk helped you catch early? What do you think every manager should train themselves to notice?
