Scheduling can consume a surprising amount of management time.

The difficult part is often not putting names into boxes.

It is balancing:

  • employee availability,
  • workload,
  • truck schedules,
  • customer traffic,
  • skill mix,
  • department coverage,
  • days off,
  • labor targets,
  • overtime,
  • call-offs,
  • and constant last-minute changes.

A useful scheduling tool should reduce clerical work while helping a manager see whether the schedule actually matches the business.

We want this tool to improve around real store problems.

What part of scheduling takes you the longest or causes the most frustration? What would you most like the tool to do for you?
