What Belongs in National Food Access News

Use this board selectively for developments outside Illinois that have a clear lesson or material effect for:
  • Food access and grocery availability
  • Independent, rural, cooperative, or community-owned grocery
  • Healthy-food financing and grocery development
  • Store preservation, succession, and ownership transition
  • Relevant public policy, regulation, or significant research
  • Replicable community grocery models and operating practices

A national item should include a reliable original source and a short explanation of its relevance. Routine industry headlines, general consumer news, award announcements that report past results rather than open opportunities, and stories without a clear connection to the community's work do not belong in National Food Access News.
